Julatten in the
tablelands makes a good base for birdwatching in Queensland's Wet
Tropics. The tablelands are also known as the Atherton Tablelands and
the Cairns Highlands.
There are only four roads to the tablelands, one from Innisfail, two
from nearer to Cairns and the Rex Highway from the Captain Cook Highway
near Mossman and Port Douglas. The most significant birdwatching
destination here is Mount Lewis Road near Julatten.
